Once Upon a Thyme is one of those places I would go for fuss-free pasta on a budget — it's simple offerings somehow satisfies, especially when you are just looking for something to treat yourself without unnecessarily splurging at a hipster cafe. Yes, the pasta is slightly past al-dente, but it doesn't really bother me here especially with that extremely fiery tomato cream — it's tangy and surprisingly bold in terms of spiciness; they never seem to hold back on the chili paid here so be ready to sweat it out while finishing the pasta here.

Not forgetting those succulent, juicy chicken meatballs that adds a meaty, savoury flavour that completes the entire experience, it's one of those pasta I definitely wouldn't mind having if I am craving for a simple meal while alone thinking of what to eat for dinner around Clarke Quay.

Looks to be family owned, several generations here.

Organic fresh tasting food. Ate half my sandwich before I thought to take a picture. What a great cafe! Excellent reviews led us here and It did not disappoint. Awesome vegan and non-vegan options, super friendly staff, adorable decor, great little shop in the back! One of the staff thanked a veteran for his service as he walked in. Can't wait to come back. Veggie wrap was delicious. Brought a piece of raspberry chocolate tart GF to-go and it was amazing.

Definitely coming back to this place. My husband had the French dip and I had a Bountiful Beef with carmelized onions, apple horseradish and garlic aioli. Everyone was happy with meal. Cute quaint place with really nice staff. Saw lots of local business people eating here. Highly recommend if you don't want to eat at another cookie cutter chain restaurants. Kid friendly and has a little store with tea and some dry goods.

Delicious, was definitely looking for some healthier options around town. Everything around here is so fast food!!! Super happy to come in here and see other options as well as healthy goodies!!! My son and I both had a sandwich and it was amazing!!! Pleasant service, was made quickly and food came out hot.

Once Upon a Thyme, Chehalis

This restaurant had a 5 star rating when I went, so I was expecting it it be good. We ordered 3 different sandwiches as they were all fine, but we will definitely not be going back. Service was fine, nothing special. Very surprised it had a 5 star rating, I give it 3 stars at best.

Food was good, but they forgot to bring the order out. Do have gluten free options, which is nice. Cookies were fresh and tasty. On way to Crypticon in Seattle, stopped by for lunch. Cute place, that's just off I They are only open M-F, but seem to do a booming business. By noon it was almost full plus they do lots of to go. I tried the turkey cranberry sandwich on gluten free bread.

Unfortunately the curse of the gf bread eater is evident. Half of my wife's regular bread sandwich the same size as my whole sammy. As a gf bread eater you almost always pay more for less. Bread was fine not exceptional in any way. Goof fillings, good amount of turkey. Wife had meatloaf panini. She liked it, a little messy but well made and tasty. Tried the broccoli crunch salad. Broccoli, sunflower seeds, grapes, onion and a touch of cauliflower. Dressed in the usual mayo and sugar. Service is very good. You order and pay at the counter but the employees hustle around helping customers.

Did I mention it gets busy, while we ate a line of about 10 people stayed pretty constant. A few people walked in then left because of the it. I might give this place 5 stars except for the gf thing. What an unexpected gem in Chehalis. Probably as good a lunch spot as you will find between Portland and Seattle.

Homemade everything and the attention and care show in their food. Will definitely stop here again. The soup and sandwich was good. Wish the soup was a little bit hotter though. I may have just had the best lemon bar of my life in addition to the best tuna melt of my life. This place is a wonderful lunch spot. It is open 10 a. Closed on the weekend.

An oasis in chehalis.

The atmosphere is delightful with an old country feel. It's very clean and inviting. Our new stop between Seattle and PDX. This place is amazing. It's cozy and a welcoming place to eat lunch.

My food tasted very fresh and the best vegetarian food I've had in Lewis county. I'll definitely be back soon! The only down side is it's a little pricing BUT you get what you pay for, and that is quality food! This place was amazing. I am gluten free with celiac. The bread was great and the carrot cake was the best ever. It's so nice, as a gluten free eater that restaurants care about the flavor and such for us few people. I WILL be back! Thanks from The bottom of my ' stomach '.

Lynette Dis place very good. They make their own bread, meats, sides, just about everything. And it's all really good. Israeli cous cous salad with the rueben was just what we needed. Carrot cake was delicious. Driving through highly recommend. This is my new favorite lunch spot in Lewis county. Had soup and salad Also had a peach scone Next time I'm in the area I will definitely make it a point to come back!

Dis place very good. Our place was founded on a history of experience in catering and a love for all foods natural and light.
